Jeju With a Toddler: 3-Day Family-Friendly Itinerary (Stress-Free & Fun)
Jeju is one of Korea’s most popular destinations for families — and for good reason. With its quick flight from Seoul, stroller-friendly attractions, and endless food options, it’s an easy and rewarding trip even with a toddler in tow.
We spent 4 days and 3 nights on the island and found a great balance of sightseeing, beach time, and downtime. Here’s exactly how we planned our toddler-friendly Jeju itinerary.
Before You Go: Toddler Travel Tips
Check out my toddler travel essentials here!
🚗 Rent a car: Public transit on Jeju is limited. Rental companies provide car seats, so you don’t need to lug one over. Parking was free or extremely cheap everywhere we went.
🏨 Stay near Jeju City: We chose Jeju Sun Resort for its junior suite (bedroom door = parents can hang out after baby bedtime 🙌), crib availability, and near the airport. Bonus: the casino is separate — no smoky, Vegas-style walk-throughs.
🎒 Entertainment for the car: There’s lots of driving on Jeju, so pack activities for toddlers. Some of my favorite travel activities are linked here.
🍙 Convenience store breakfasts: 7-11 and GS25 became our best friends for yogurt, fruit, triangle gimbaps, and drinks. Affordable and toddler-approved.
Day 1: Arrival & Jeju City
✈️ Flight: Flew from Gimpo Airport (smaller, closer than Incheon). Lined up perfectly with nap time.
🍲 Lunch: Mukdol Jeju Main Noodles Store.
- Jeju meat noodles = delicious
- Bibim noodles = loved
- Black pork pancake = skip
👣 Stops near the airport:
- Iho Tewoo Lighthouse → toddler loved running around and watching planes land.
- Dodu Rainbow Coastal Road → colorful photo spot.
- Hugely Gelato → very photo-ready. Loved the “Sor Bong” drink and the Udo peanut gelato. The tangerine cone was beautiful, but the gelato was a weird texture.
- Yongduam Rock → underwhelming, but easy walk.
🛍️ Dongmun Market:
- Tried omegideok, bingtteok, lobster skewers, pork rolls.
- Bought a toddler-sized tangerine hat + basalt “harabojee” figurine.
- Tip: bring cash & expect to have to wait a bit for parking at busier times.
🌙 Evening: Snacks from 7-11 + hotel movie night after toddler bedtime.

Day 2: Waterfalls, Cliffs & Black Pork
🍙 Breakfast: 7-11 gimbap, yogurt, fruit.
🗿 Jeju Stone Park:
- Massive complex with hareubang statues.
- We stuck to the “500 Generals” area — enough for photos + toddler to run.
- Kids Zone requires reservations on weekends.
🍲 Lunch: Seom Sarang (Seogwipo).
- Seafood hotpot with abalone, grilled sea bream, spicy pork bulgogi.
- Great value for a variety of flavors.
- Same parking lot as the Cheonjiyeon waterfall.
🌊 Cheonjiyeon Waterfall:
- Stroller-friendly 10–15 min walk.
- Daughter napped in stroller while we explored.
- Shops had Hallasan chocolates + cute trinkets.
🌉 Saeyonggyo Bridge: Statues and haenyo (female divers) history.
🪨 Jusangjeollidae Cliff: Stunning volcanic basalt columns with viewpoints.
🥩 Dinner: Donbaekkot Black Pork BBQ.
- Some of the best pork we’ve had in Korea.
- Affordable, amazing sides, and staff taught us how to make the perfect bite.
🍦 Evening treat: GS25 Beurre Beurre ice cream bar — recommend!

Day 3: Hamdeok Beach
🏖️ Hamdeok Beach:
- Arrived ~10am, lots of parking.
- Long sandbar + shallow water → perfect for kids.
- Toddler splashed for an hour (without swimsuits).
🥤 Drinks: Mega Coffee lime mojito ade + MGC citrus blend = refreshing.
🍙 Lunch: Haenyo Gimbap.
- Shrimp gimbap & fried squid → fresh & flavorful.
- Trendy, slightly pricier, but worth it. Seriously the best gimbap I’ve ever had!
🛒 Stroller nap walk: Around Delmoondo Café & Hayanghan Hamdeok Pudding Shop (credit card fail, sadly).
🌧️ Afternoon: Rain rolled in, so we opted for hotel downtime.
🍣 Dinner: Random Japanese spot = only “miss” of the trip 😂.
🛍️ Evening: Strolled Nuwemaru shopping area before bedtime.

Day 4: Departure
- Easy 7-11 breakfast.
- Returned car + shuttle to the airport before our noon flight.
Final Thoughts
Jeju was such a great toddler-friendly trip. We enjoyed the food, views, and unique culture, while still keeping the trip relaxing. Highly recommend — with or without kids.
Have you visited Jeju? What would you recommend that we missed?
